Stihl Posters

I am looking for 2 Stihl posters.

The first is the poster that reads "Stihl Was There". It has climbers in the huge tree on the west coast that was felled in the eighties.

The second reads "Only The Strong Survive". It has a guy coming out of a forest fire with a Stihl over his shoulder.

It is a great poster. It shows a fire fighter with a 044 on his shoulder during the Salmon Forest Fire in Idaho.

Would you be willing to bring it down to Kinkos or staples or whatver and see if they will do a color copy on high gloss poster paper?

It is in excellent shape Bull. My wife had it professionally framed ( complete with borders and matting) for me and it is hanging in my home office.
Can't really take it out of the frame without messing it up..........Sorry

I have the large tree poster and may have the other. I would imagine there are quite a few around.

take some pictures of the poster, frame and all, then can be cleaned up in photoshop and look like the real deal if taken with a decent camera.

this of course assumes, no copyright issues.

Check Ebay. I've seen both of them every once in a while. I think they bring a good price in good condition. Stihl should re-issue them. Maybe some of the dealers here could put a bug in the corporate ear.

Congrats on passing the Silver, BTW.
I'm sitting here looking at my collection on the walls, and that is an impressive picture. Those guys are in a league by themselves.
I like the long poster that says "100 feet up a tree, man's best friend ain't his dog" and I have the one that says "We came. We sawed. We conquered." That is one big tree they are cutting down.
I wish some of these old posters would be reprinted.

toneman ive got a copy of the firefighters one, it was in chainsaw age magazine I think. I need to see if i can get it a copy made.

The other poster I can't find my other ones, I know I have more than one. Not sure where tho. Ive got a bunch of the redwood tree ones if someones wanting one.

That is ONE of them. The one I am looking for has a Firefighter walking out of a cut and burned area, covered in dirt, with a 044 over his shulder, and it says at the bottom...."Only The Strong Survive"

If someone has a pic please post it.
