Good that the kids are being fed.

I had a lot typed up but I don't think there's any point. As long as your kids are being fed, I'll just say good luck with getting lawyers involved over a $750 dispute, and good luck with your future endeavors.

Edit: Dammit I can't let this go. You have a 460 and a 440 Magnum in your sigline. How does the loss of a 462 prevent you from cutting down anything and making money?
I need to update that while I was incarcerated my collection went to one saw I owe a big thank you to my ex-wife for that one

I guarantee every one of you wish you knew her when she was selling my s*** she sold the 201t to a guy for 50 bucks I know the 880 that wasn't even mine and I've had to pay to replace went for less than 200 those are the only two I've gotten any kind of number on

That bites, bro. Another forum I'm on, the guys would have bought up the whole collection for peanuts and then sold it back to the guy when he got out.
I wish the guy that bought the 201 rub it in my face the price he paid for it and then just to spite me he ran over with his truck

What you had typed if it could be helpful to me getting the situation resolved I would love to hear it just because I'm looking for any advice to get this situation resolved

Wish I could post an email from my attorney but there's parts of it that need to remain Hush Hush for the moment but he did say that do you want a new trailer to go with the new truck stihl is about to buy you? I don't know what he has up his sleeve but his confidence makes me feel better about the situation

I feel like I’m watching Axe Men or Swamp People where you just never know what’s coming next but you’re pretty sure it’s gonna be made up.

To be clear my lawyer said that as a way of showing his confidence in us getting the situation made right I'm not going to try to go after Stihl for a truck and a trailer and all this other b******* all I want is my f****** saw fixed

To anyone who thinks that I've made one word of what I said up PM me and I will p.m. you the document I'm not going to make them public record but I will pm you any document you desire I have copies of the work orders I'm working on getting the pictures off of my iPhone so I can post them worst case scenario I'll take a picture with my new phone of it displayed on my old phone into be kind of ***** but hey it's what I can do I also have copies of the email from The District representative it still telling my dealer what he can and cannot do as far as repairs I have a copy of the email where he suggested ivbe giving that used saw the only thing I do not have his pictures of the second catastrophic failure as it was happening I have pictures of the end result but not pictures or video of it actually happening

Some of the guys here who have given you advice are Stihl dealers themselves, you won't get any better advice than what they gave you.

My response was more along the lines of how the Stihl saw situation is nothing, a minor little distraction. From what you've said, there are a lot of other issues which should be much higher priorities to tackle, and the Stihl situation is a distraction from those higher priorities.

In what way is it you think the dealer screwed up so maybe I can get him to correct that I just don't know what to do

Its the dealers responsibility to evaluate a failure. He would have to explain why he feels the failure warrants a whole good replacement and the reason for that findings. That needs distributor approval. If he feels that too much debris has been ingested, or too much damage occurred, he must explain that. And the entire procedure should be done via email. That way there’s a paper trail. Now he’s in a position, which he put himself in , of “he said she said”. Majority of repairs need no approval.
You have - 0 - recourse now. And there’s always the possibility that the repair was of poor quality, OR
something was just missed during the repair process. That happens to everyone at some point. Thats where a good dealer/ distributor relationship comes in. Doesn’t sound like your dealer has that.
The service dept can pretty much do anything they have to to settle a problem.

Thats why something smells about this entire story.

He did that I've mentioned it multiple times that the email he got in reply to his findings was to replace the piston and cylinder only and when he sent in all this information he also took multiple photographs

I don't know what my attorney did exactly but he got results finally someone from Stihl in Virginia called and discussed the situation with me and explain to me how sorry they were and that I would be giving a new saw as soon as possible he said he was going to attempt to locate me a 461 but asked if I would accept a 462 if he was unable to I told him I'd much prefer the 461 but I would accept a 462 if I had to I'm also going to a dealer in in little rock that also does rentals to pick up a loaner saw until my new one arrives this gentleman also told me that the district manager out of stihl Southwest that till this point had been kind of calling all the shots was in violation of multiple policies and that he would be dealt with
