If it is there its for good reason. Leave it.Putting on a new carb and I found this in the intake manifold,it looks like a useless obstruction to me,am I correct
I'm looking for an answer from someone who knows.If it is there its for good reason. Leave it.
That's just it,I'm starting to reassemble and if it does nothing for performance I want to leave it out,but I don't want to experiment.If it runs good without it, I would say you are correct.
Ok,never mind,I figured out what it's purpose is....and left it out.Putting on a new carb and I found this in the intake manifold,it looks like a useless obstruction to me,am I correct?
Yeah.I'm looking for an answer from someone who knows.
This is found in strato saws and its purpose is to direct the airflow towards either the fuel or scavenge port on the intake.Putting on a new carb and I found this in the intake manifold,it looks like a useless obstruction to me,am I correct?
Yeah.
What's he know about saws?
Proly woke up yesterday and figured out how to post up here. Wonder if he ever even run a 261 ???
@lone wolf
I dunno...he's a pretty "red, white and blue " guy. Don't think his phone has those funny looking letters in it.Yeah, but he can probably spell STIJHL though.
Im thinking EPA has a big influence on all that.Stihl is notorious for adding extra parts to saws that are not needed as Mr. Stihl has to somehow reduce his net profit for tax reasons.
They are included so that the layman can modify and claim they are a saw builder.
