Hey guys,
A surrounding tree company and I tend to work back and forth quite often. His chipper got stolen 2 weeks ago on the side of the interstate in Asheville, NC. It had a pintle lock and was chained and locked to the guardrail, plus was missing a tire and rim. Anyway, the hunt has been unsuccessful for the unit. If anyone knows of a Brush Bandit 250 for sale, let me know. He has given up on the stolen unit and just needs to find one to replace it now. Thanks for the help guys. logan

Sorry to hear about his loss. My Bandit 200+ is listed in the trading post forum as are a few other chippers. PM me if you'd like more info on the 200+. It's now listed at $3k less than what Bandit tells me it should sell for in its condition. I can also help arrange shipping.

Scott

I,ve got the same chipper but with a winch if anyone is interested PM me.
I wanted to keep it but could use the cash this winter. Arborpro, what year is yours??

It sounds like someone with a rollback to me. I bet even the police would not mess much with a rollback loading a disabled chipper along an interstate.

Ya, that does sound a little better than trying to find a rim with the right bolt pattern etc....... and towing it.

Thats exactly what we thought about the rollback. who would know any different if they saw someone towing it? thanks for the help

arbor pro,
i think i had already sent you an email before i read your reply about pm you.

I'll check my personal email tonight in case your email went to it rather than the one I usually use. If you want to call me about the chipper I have for sale, my cell is 605-228-9350. Scott

I dont know how it works in your area but if something is left on the side of the road for more then a day it gets towed around here. Have you tried to contact the police and see who has the towing contact for that stretch of road and see of it is in thier inpound lot. Just a thought

None the less it still sucks.

You might be on to something there.

We had a small lawn care trailer in north carolina that lost a side wall and we unhooked it left it on the side of the road with a cinder block under it and less then 3 hours later the police had it towed. They do not waste any time that was near elizabeth city don't know were you all are at but you would be well off to call the local police and check the impound. It was about $20 a day plus the original tow.

We have for sure tried that. The local police even said there are some crooked wrecker services in that area. That was sure reassuring to know!

I hope they find the sob or sob's that stole the chipper and they get a bullet in the head.Trash like that dont deserve to live.

Yeah I agree, I will try to find a picture or two of it and post. It is hunting a needle in a hay stack, but it does some modifications that are unique, who knows

Yes, please post some photos and add some notes about the mods. I live in Candler and notice chippers on the hiway all the time. Will keep my eyes open for it.

They found the chipper on tuesday. It was only 7 miles from where it had been stolen and was being used by someone on a tree job. The person didn't file the serial numbers, paint a welded piece of metal we had put on, or change it in any manner what so ever. Just glad he got it back. The dude will do a little time
