Yes, the depth gauge and a true raker do totally different chores and it irks me for some reason when I read posts where chainsaw depth gauges are called rakers but I have learned to ignore the reference and just move on.
You could ask Todo to do an auto substitution script to change raker to depth gauges. ;)

Old thread, but I have some fine example of straddle chain now thanks to Wayne Sutton. I'll get these cleaned up and feature them in the chain display I am working on.

Top - Bidirectional straddle scratcher
Second - Bidirectional straddle scratcher skip
Third - Straddle scratcher
Bottom - Stihl "square drive" scratcher...well used
