Likewise, I had a great time and it was a great experience. In addition to my own saws, I got to run lots of other stuff, including Dolmar 6100 and 7900, Husky 560 and MM ported 562, and numerous Stihls including other 044/440s, 046/460s, a MM ported 261 & 441, and Smittybilt ported 066 and 460.

There are a lot of great saws out there, and we made a lot of chips. I thank everyone who came for sharing their equipment so freely. Also, a great big thanks to the three generations of Rich's for allowing us to have the event there, and for giving me a tour of their fabulous post and beam structure entirely made from trees on the property. I believe they said it was a 9 year project, and the workmanship is incredible. As some of you know I am doing a less sophisticated post and beam cabin on my Catskill Mtn property, constructed from the blown down Ash trees up there.

At the end of the day it even evolved into some car talk over a beer (there was no alcohol until the chainsaws stopped), another one of my favorite subjects.

Don't worry Yank, I thought he was going to do that with a picture of a Stihl next!

I will say that it was brighter than any of the other saws!
I'm amazed at how brightly it stands out in the pictures. LOL. It is a fun machine when you consider the price paid. I brought it to answer a lot of questions as to what is good and not so good about these. And like Bob said, "something different". It runs pretty good and the engine is put together pretty well. The fit and finish is terrible but it will cut wood for sure. I guess I should have brought the Earthquakes too which have a much better fit and finish to them but run like turds.

I just want to say i had a blast . Thanks to everyone who came to the GTG !!!! It really turned out to be a great day .Thanks for taking all the awesome photos and videos Steve ! Thanks Bret for bringing all those smittybilt saws !! That bike saw you built was epic .

It also is the saw design that likely is the most common one in scams around the world. You can buy them in any color you want, and put the name and decales you want on them.

Had an exceptionally great time at this! Big thanks to the hosts and everyone who contributed to the day. Great saws, food, and conversation. Extra thanks to buckyoak for helping tune the saws I brought. Extra thanks also to Rich for the tips on how to rip cut free hand. Later that day I got a nice slab of red oak that will be turned into a coffee tabletop in the near future.

Have lots of pics, but most would look just like everyone elses except maybe these two :).

Also, a few short vids. (A bit shaky but not terrible.)

It deffently was a lot of fun I think my favorite sounding saws were the 166's they sound sooooo good at idle:rock:

I bothered the heck out of you and Ambull at the Pa gtg to run your saws. Thanks to both of you for accomadating my interests.

The only two saws on my list I didn't get to run were a 166 and a ported 390. I don't think there was a 390 there that day unless I missed it.

Oh and btw Brett, your 460 prompted me to put a ported 46 on my 44. Fun fun.
