Super ez automatic 1979

I have 10556 Super ez automatic from 1979. Had not used in several (40?) years! Have used some others, latest "new" "Homelite/Ryobi". Oiler wasn't working on EZ. Finally got some time to fix it. Hose was rotted away. Do I need to flush out reservoir and filter? If yes. Use what? Thanks in advance.

I've never flushed out an oil tank but if I did I suppose I'd use some gasoline or diesel.

Old mix/stale gasoline you're going to throw out will rinse it. Or get some diesel, cheap available and works. Make sure hose and filter in tank are intact too.
