I have about 90% of the parts sitting here to put one together but don't have a tank.

I went out to the shop just now. I have both versions. Which do you want.... flippy or screw cap?

What motor are we talking?

76 Johnson 35hp. Ran hot when the water pump decided finally that it was the wrong impeller ( I didnt know) Gonna have to tear it down I guess and see if there is damage to the cylinders/pistons cause its only got 60 pounds of compression :banghead:

Head gasket would have likely been the first thing to go. Then it would have run like a 3.5 horse rather than 35 horse. If you stopped at that point it may be a cheap fix.

flippy cap would match the new ms290 top covers I have for it... Let me know what you need. Also just tried to call you bout a P42 but you didn't pick up.

looking for a bar for a 357xp, 20" x 3/8 x .050. Also looking for a 16" bar for a dolmar ps-540. The bar that came with the dolmar was one of those thin ones like a stihl picco bar. I would like the bars to be in excellant shape. I have stuff and $. Drop me a pm.

Anyone need a Stihl 026 project ? here's what I know : Complete saw with 18" Rollomatic, all plastic nice no fading and shiny no breaks or cracks, WT194 carb, piston is worn and had some scoring on the exhaust side (will need a new piston) no transfer on the cylinder looks usable to me, spark plug sparks, flock is missing off of the air filter (needs new air filter) bottom end feels good everything else looks OK. Can send pic's

Thanks. Hoping it may be something that simple.. It was running, felt weird and slowed down, then when I let off it cut off and seen some smoke. Trolled back..
