trying to fix a saw to give to my father in need of an 026 handle, air cover, inner guide plate, and clutch cover

also need a ms280 clutch cover for another saw

I need some presets and tie straps for Oregon 52 .404-.063G chain. Just scored a partial reel (approx 46') of the stuff at an estate sale. Presets and tie straps were nowhere to be found.

Also in need of a breaker and spinner. Been meaning to pick them up for a while now...........and this .404 chain score has kicked that need to the front burner....:D

Got old Homelite, McCulloch, Poulan, and some Husky stuff (parts and bars) to trade. A few folded presidential pictures too...

Cool. Thanks Fraser. Will give you a call tomorrow. Still not getting email notifications of new posts here (just repeats of old notifications of PM's and posts that were made days ago)...

I'll have to see if I can remember everything myself. Are you coming down for the GTG in November? As for the .404 presets and tie straps.............I'm probably only going to be making up about 5-10 loops or so over the next few weeks (between now and the GTG). I can get more presets/tie straps later.

looking for a clutch for a 3120. one of mine decided it would be fun to grenade it's clutch mid cut :(. I can't afford to be going out without a spare mill saw as it is quite a distance away. unfortunately my 2nd spare 3120 already donated it's clutch to my spare 3120 a couple months ago. 2 clutches would be cool ;) but 1 is really all I need. clutch shoes would work also as I have a spare carrier. everyones gotta have a few 3120 clutch shoes laying around  I have some stuff to trade

Anyone need a TS 510 project?? Im cleaning out...

BUMP!

mostly all there, needs to be assembled. It has a good P/C has electronic ign that works, has the arm (needs bearings) Itd be a good cheap project.

I dont want to have to ebay it.. but if there is no interest here...

Shoot an offer, trades work too.

Honestly I have used my ebay knock off about 100-150 times now and it works great!

You really don't need a breaker if you have a bench grinder and a nail punch. hell 90% of the time I just grind the exhisting tie strap down really far on the bench grinder and then twist the chain and it pops apart. Saves cost on break and breaker tips (the tips will break if you don't grind rivets a little).

I got a Deere one.
let me check for spark and cylinder condition. not sure if this saw is up for trade or a fixer upper yet...
It needs the 1/2 wrap and support brackets and clutch cover...

I might have some. I have a bag of 404, not sure on the brand. Pm me your address, I'll send you some anyway.

That's how I do it. I found it easier/quicker to grind. I got rid of my breaker.

File-O-Plates?

Does anyone have any file-o-plates that they never used/arent using anymore? watsonr told me that apparently Carlton is discontinuing them, which is a bummer.

Looking for a .325 semi-chisel plate, and a .375 chisel plate.

Dont have much in the way of parts, possibly some 028 bits, but also some green presidents to share. Shipping should be cheap!

Thanks!

Thanks guys. I've broken chains with a grinder and punch (to make 'see how many DL's I need on this bar' lengths out of old loops). Really just need a spinner. Will pick up one of those 'ebay specials' for $48 if I can't score a good used one in a trade from somebody.

I grind the heads off both rivets on the strap, I've found it's easier than doing the one. If you grind both heads on the same side of the strap, and half way through the strap... a little twist, and it pops right off. Just don't burn your fingers. :)
