I "think" this may be a SL-10A

Will the muffler off of it work?

That looks a lot like my Wards/Remington SL-9. Main difference is that my SL-9 has a teeny stack muffler (with a screen riveted inside it) and the oil filler is 'straight up' instead of angled back. From what I've seen, the 'A' (automatic oiler) models have the angled filler. Is that a comp release lever below the choke knob? My SL-9 has a badly scored P/C too. Still fires up, but is sick.

Needing a coil and a clutch spider for a Homelite C-7 - C-72. There are some others that will work, maybe for a C-9 or C-91. The coil has to fit under the flywheel, I'm swapped many coils before but can't find one that will physically fit in this saw.

I've still got stuff to trade or green backs
If you haven't found your parts yet I have a junk c-72 here for parts.

Scratch the quoted stuff.

I need the following for an 044 I just picked up.

2. HD air filter base - my carb does NOT have the "snorkel" on top.

I got a few parts to trade and I got some $ as well.

I no longer need a muffler, but I still need an air filter base. (non-Intelli carb)

Got a set of 4 point pro safety dawgs for 660. I'm looking for a set of dawgs for a 395. Aftermarket or OEM either way.

Yes a decomp/throttle lock.

Thats why I think it might be a 10A

Help! My cap chipped a piece off the edge, now it leaks. Anybody out there have one that'll fit? (JRed p/n: 504 70 20-04)

Kev,

I might have one for ya..

gonna look..

Cap from a Jred 590, Partner 500 and 5000 will also fit, probably more.
Pioneerguy600

the oil cap for the old oly is about 1.125" diameter (outside of threads) and a pitch of about 13 threads per inch. will that fit?

Thanks for the info/help guys. Drove a little further to the good JRed dealer. He has an oil cap on order for me.
He has some great prices on Dolmar saws too. I might buy a new Dolmar oil cap with a 7900 under it!

Before this one gets tossed back on the pile under the shed, anybody need anything off it ??

free to good home

FREE TO GOOD HOME JUST PAY THE SHIPPING!!!!!! i have a post on chainsaws about this one. i got this and it was smoking bad. I found out that it was sucking bar oil into the cylinder. Bar oil is pressurized from the cylinder. So i pulled the side cover off and blocked that port and fixed the smoking problem. i can't find a gasket for the side cover to make it right so i put gasket sealer in place of it to test it. It isn't holding just leaking a bit of bar oil. manuel oiler works and runs like a champ. it will need that side plate gasket and air filter. everything else is in good condition. so if someone wants it as a parts saw or has what it needs to fix it right you can have it for the cost of the shipping,,,almost forgot,,i have a brand new extra chain to go with it..

i have an interest in the mystery craftsman/poulan 2800.
any way you could drop a caliper fast and dirty through the exhaust to measure the bore? good p/c?

Thanks Charlie. I already have that one though. That one uses a rubber gasket that snaps into place where those 4 holes are.

Looking for one that doesn't use that gasket - the newer HD filters don't seat very well with it.

Take the rubber gasket out and plug the holes with clear RTV silicone...it ain't rocket science.
