nw. mo,

Where in N.W. Missouri?

Morning Carl, you know where I'm at, 7 mile s. of St.Joe on 59 [Halls] the old man with a yard full of lawnmowers. Been watching your restores on the homelite thread. I just started posting after the Ar. gtg boys got on my case. Regards Jim

Understood.

Out of curiosity (and in your experience), any reason the WT-22 isn't sought after just as much as the WT-194 for replacing fixed jet carbs on the 024's and 026's (and the later versions)? Even with a smaller bore, there seems to be plenty of capability with the WT-22's to handle any increased demands resulting from a typical muffler mod. Are they just simply more scarce and the 194's more plentiful?
I've always wondered since both of my 026's have WT-22's. Or maybe that's just a weird coincidence all by itself!

If I understand what little I know about these saws the wt-22 was only used on the 024 and early 026.

It's smaller bore would make me hunt the 194.

The Tillotson HU carb from the 024 make a good running ported 026. Just sayin'.

I've yet to find one of those on the 024. Was that an early model carb?

What number of Tillotson HU would this be?

HU-54F. I ported a 260 about four years ago for a tree service and swapped out their semi fixed-jet carb with one of the HUs.

That saw ran sweet. The fuel curve on the HU seemed a heck of a lot better than the Walbros.

That little 450 seems like it has some guts....

I have a craftsman 2.0 and a Poulan 1800 I might throw in a "gift box/trade box" if they are worth anything you you.

Both have compression, spark, bars and chains.

Chris

Is the Craftsman 2.0 red or grey Chris?

"Scent" a PM to you yesterday (or maybe it was in the rep I hitcha with) 'bout a used P/C for your Remington/Wards. Didja get it?

Edit:

I just saw your VM. Looks like you got my message. Hope that works out for you.
