Anybody running the switch n go chip box just wondering what length is preferred they make a 11fppt 12 foot and 14 foot.
I am looking to have one put on a Chevy 5500.

I just bought a F600 this spring with the 11 foot switch and go system on it. It has the battery operated system, not the pto.

Overall I like it.

With the cable system it is a little slow versus what I hear about a hook lift system.

They don't like switching boxes on unlevel terrain. As the box gets pulled on, it likes to hop off the rail right as the nose comes over the back of the rail. Flat ground is no issue though.

The 11 foot system with the 12' boxes puts the balance of the load right over the back axle, which has its drawbacks. I would think the 14' systems would have the balance a little in front of the back axle, but then too your hoist system/body weight goes up too which in the end reduces your payload capacity.

With the 15 ton electric system I can pick up about 10,000lb of loaded body

I have the 39" body with the chipper roof, a 51" side and a flatbed.

We run a small crew and I really really like the versatility of one truck running 3 different bodies!

The loads ride high. You can't do corners fast or else it will freak you out. And then too the bodies can slide sideways on the rails 1-2" as corners are taken which really can feel spooky, esp with a heavy load.
