Spring Day

ICREEK cool set up. Mid Missouri do you cut a lot of Black Jack Oak?

I can tell spring is officially here in Kansas I found my first tick crawling up my skin under my shirt yesterday. I hauled 8 Toyota truck loads Pin Oak across a creek so if it flooded I wouldn't't lose it.

I feel sorry for you guys up North. Every time I turn on the weather channel Kansas & Missouri is under a tornado warning and the north is getting another 6-8 inches of snow. I hate winter!! That's one of the main reasons I burn wood. I like my living room 80 degrees in January.

Rice Lake

between FARM & Fleet and the two kinda cute sister in laws that live over there Rice Lake is a good place to visit:clap:

Spring?

here we go again---winter storm warning for us up north.maybe up to afoot of the white stuff.makes me dream of beaches and palm trees!

today in Missouri

Well we missed the bad storm that went through Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas lastnight and today.... Had lots of rain lastnight but this was a shot from this afternoon. Monday evening I moved most of the wood (3 piles) to another pile down below the house, kept enough to get me through May... Going to concrete and gravel the area around the stove this summer, tired of standing in the mud feeding the stove :)

Saw that on the weather channel Todd,

Looks like a hammering too! The "silver lining" seeing you're in the metals bizz  is it won't last long. April can be a funny month. Up in Maine here we've had 3 days of mid fiffties, beautiful weather! I actually tilled my garden and planted peas and chard yesterday! But April can serve up some dooseys. We had a foot last year in April. Me, We're on a little shutdown so I'm back out there today splitting.

I have not burned a stick of wood since mid march! Its been 50s in the
mourning and 80s in the afternoon when not raining. It will be summer in
a minute!

in the middle of a snow and ice storm now xchools cancelled.winter just won't leave

Yes, we now have that storm. Just windy @ 5:30 AM but lots of snow now by 7 AM and we can hardly see 100' now. I went out to milk the goats and was singing April Showers and wondering what has happened to spring.
The partridges are sure going to have a poor hatch with all this going on.
Next Tuesday is supposed to be real warm and sunny +17C so go figure.

sigh - Its tough to be a Northerner.

I work for a highway dept. I was called in at 3:00 AM. We got over a foot in some areas of the county. Put in 11 hours of plowing today. Its hard to believe I was riding cycle a week ago:jawdrop:
