I was sitting in Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital today and noticed several events "for the kids", walk for the kids, 5K run for the kids, etc. Has anyone ever considered a charity "Climb for the Kids"? It could raise money for a hospital and there could be a setup on site for a short rec climb for kids that showed up. Just a thought.

Most states have a childrens hospital- some even have on site arboretums. I think it could equal good PR for companies involved, or it could be just a corny idea.

Loggers have done Log a Load For Kids to raise money for children's hospitals for years. There is nothing corny about helping sick kids and their families. Any time some one feels like life is unfair to them or their day couldn't be worse should go sit in the waiting room in a Children's Hospital intensive care unit for a few hours.

I hear you, I've sat in there many times unfortunately. I think we could work out the liability issue. How does it work for a logger fundraiser- is it worth the effort?
