I hope you're gonna wait 'til she's a little bigger before she tackles that one. ;o)

Its going to be a while before she gets behind a saw. She is my 10 second helper, it does not matter what i am doing she wants do it to but only for 10 seconds.
She will help unload and stack a couple face cord before she has had enough.
She lives outside weather permitting

I remember them days not too long ago (4 years). Very first saw i ran was my dads poulan pro and boy was i PROUD!!! (I blew up the poulan and made him buy a dolmar) The thing is though is that after i blew that poulan up most kids would have felt extremly bad and never touched a saw again but me, i tore it apart figured out what was wrong with it and CAD came upon me like a fever. What im trying to get at is that it is a VERY special and important moment in a kids life when the man he has looked up to his whole life finally gives him that "Chance" And in a way you could say "a right of passage". Now for me im 17 and all the saws in my signature i bought over blood sweat and tears so for warning for your son. once your "in" your IN!!

Send the poulans up here! I love to tinker.

From the looks of your list, it looks like you're covered. I was thinking a young fellow like Unc Jr. might be in need of a couple learning tools. What's that saying? "Pay it forward"?

You can never have to many!

Way to build that kids confidence, he may not thank you now but will know where it came from when he is older.

At that age running a saw.. NOTHING will stop him.. He now knows if he didn't before that the world is his.. just go get it.

Nothing like running a saw for the first time with dad right there beside you. I think I was more nervous of what my dad would do to me over the damage the saw would cause if I did something stupid.
Same here. Now I'm hooked more than him!

Good upbringing !!!
Nothing like learning to handle real dangerous stuff at that age, lessons will last you a lifetime.
Giving kids a chance to be responsible is a gift.
Makes them realize they have control over their lives - not verbally but practically....

(And of course, when he watches Chainsaw Massacre with friends he can casually say "That's not how you start a saw, you know")

I have a six year old daughter who wants to run a saw and has already told me which one is hers in my line up, she now is the owner of my cs370. We are checking out a tree we gotta drop

You have some fantastic trees in your yard.. nice pics.. and Keep your girl safe but keep on letting her work. :msp_thumbup:

Thanks! It's never to early to teach some responsibility, although nobody has as much control over their lives as could be hoped for.

But we won't be watching such movies as "Chainsaw Massacre," though. We're good little Christians! :biggrinbounce2:
