"who's gonna run the rope?"

thats how terry talked me out of this one. lol.

tall and leggy with some brush to it. of course up the hill in the backyard so no equipment with not much for room under the tree. the boys worked hard on this one and terry had himself a great climb in some strong winds.

Tell me those steps weren't the only way out? The poor groundies.

i already told him, but i'll tell you. terry had himself a good day in the saddle as far as results go.

the pic are in some what of an order, a couple are mixed up.

once we got to the main fork we threw a line in it and set up a pulley up further up the hill onto another oak and i had the boys pull from next to me( a little further and up to the right from me, but i could see them) to keep them from being under it.

laid it over, bucked it up, and dropped it off at some dudes house.

i forgot how bad hickory smells when you cut it up. lol

of course just another day at the office but i wanted to share.

terry also told me he loves how we critique other people, so let it fly.

Looks like every little limb got cut off in the tree. Could those leads have been butthitched about half way out and let down? That's all I got, looks good.

On second review maybe he did butthitch that lead in two spots, the one that goes out to the right and forks into two.

not many wide open places in medford like you got out your way bub. lol

there was some butt hitching going on, some tip tying and barely any let'n it fly. too much undergrowth that tried to resemble a garden. couldnt really bomb anything out. couldnt go real big either as there wasnt much room to deal with it on the ground in the hole. never mind the tree itself being rotten like that.

maybe he'll hop in here and give his take. lol

anyway i think we did alright against the bid. thats what matters right?

To me it smells like BBQ. Yeah its hard to tell, Nails, I sure there was a reason for the toothpicks though. From the pics it looks like you would just need to stay on the trunk. What is beneath is not pictured. Now about those pics... do you need The Dan to show you how to do a photo-shoot?
Big stick, little yard, nice job, get a manicure and stop chewing your nails. Did you take that wood out up dem steps? Ooof, glad I called out.

I took down this ash tree about a month ago, along with 2 hemlocks and pruned some oaks... EVERYTHING had to be cut small so that it could be carried UP 90 stairs to the truck / chipper.

From the road it was 20 stairs to the front of the house, then another 20 to the back of the house. Go around a nasty, turning staircase / landing, and then another 40 - 50 stairs to get down to the trees... narrow stairs. Poor groundies wound up having to split the bigger logs in order to carry them up. Strange part was, the worst drag was the last 12 - 20 stairs up by the road... the rest wasn't too bad.

I would have made it easy on myself and just slit my throat.

i dont think i would like to eat where you eat if that reminds you of bbq bud. stunk to me. lol

I just did a hickory the other day, smelled just like a bottle of sauce. I asked others if they thought the same, they did.
You should be so lucky to break bread with The Dan. Love your work.
