We have been busy clearing a lot this week.Nothing over 30 inches came out of there, all of the trees had a place to fall,so all the work was done on the ground,so for the first time in quite a while,I spent the whole week on the ground and not aloft.I spent most of my time either on the loader or behind the 441 or the 575,and I did quite a bit of cutting with the 440....The 575 and the 441 are no doubt much quieter and vibrate much less than the 440.In my opinion, both of these saws do their job well, but I guess maybe I'm too old school. Both seem to run so smooth that they don't feel like they're working half as hard as a 440 or 046.So I guess maybe that's why I've just not become very fond of either one yet. Both seem to run like they have a clothespin over their noses. When I get the time,I'd like to tear into them both,I'll bet there is a whole lot more power to be had out of either one. This isn't really a comparison, but the 575 seems to fit my hands a little better, but the 441 seems to have the upper hand in cutting speed.

I don't think the 575 will be around for much longer.

Kind of a silly post there, Joe. Our best selling saw, and the guys are very happy with them. It will be around in the Husky catelog for quite some time.

Timberhauler: You ought to do a comparison with the 575 and 441 like you did with the 395 and 660. You are a straight shooter, unlike a lot of the "brand biggots" here on the site, so your opinions are pretty well respected.

I don't know about other folks here but i like my 575. It fits my hands good, but is a little ockward to manuver sometimes, and every once in a great while i have starting issues. Other than that, i like the power of it and the "type" of power it makes. Oh and TH, a muffler mod does help it some, but to me it still has a different sound even with a muffler mod. Might just be me though.

TH,

If you want an almost new 372XP to use for comparisons, all you have to do is ask. I think that would be interesting: 440/441/372/575 comparison.

Jack
