"Now see what here's all this talk about brand biggots? I got nothin agains Huskies, but I prefer Stihl...I sell a ton a them 441s, don't never seen a single one come back, still waitin' for the day it happens, prolly faint and hand the guy a bran new one on the spot LOLOL!

But when I'm side-jobbin, I likes to have the king's son in my hands...makes people think I know what I'm doin...and them 441s got that extra crowd wow power, can't say nothin' wrong with that! Don't need no insurance runnin' a Stihl, I always say!

And besides, Woodie and Manual like them Jred zebras, couple of yoohoos right there LOLOL, that oughta steer you to the winner, the Stihl!"

p.s. I wanted my 1,000th post to be some sort of shot at Ol' Boss Hall...

Now what kind of fool would want a big ole knot on his head on his 1000th post, only a Wood Newbie of course,LOLOL See how easy that was Woody. Give me some more and let me show ya how its done,LOLOLOL

For the record if Timberhauler likes the 575 better but says the 441 is a tad faster I say cool, so what. its everyone to their own. I would however lay money the 440,372,441, and the 575 all cut so close to each other its not worth talking about. Out in the woods sawing wood the operator with the fastest hands and feet would be the winner using any of those 4 saws which would indeed of course mean I WOULD BE THE WINNER hands down you lowlife Wood Newbie, messing with the old man, what da hell da matter with ya boy, ya should know better by now, hehehehe, gothcha...

If you wanna trim branches in the county anywhere,
Better go and get a license at the county square,

If you wanna take a tree in the city and make it fall,
Better go and get a license at the city hall,

If you wanna take a stump and grind it to the ground,
Doin' it without insurance surely isn't allowed,

But Tommies got a license to help his fellow man,
He carries it in his heart instead of in his hand.

TH,

If you want an almost new 372XP to use for comparisons, all you have to do is ask. I think that would be interesting: 440/441/372/575 comparison.

Jack

I've got a nearly new 372 sitting down there...But I'll never run a 372 again...That saw just sits there, and mocks me every time I walk past it...It has a beast inside of it that hates me...I think I wrote about the history behind this saw in another thread.

Every time I get a 372, I have the beast removed. I package it up and send it to Norway. There, after an intensive 29 1/2 week training course, they become trolls. So, if you'd like to try the "de-beasted" 372, just say the word.

I would like to bost that when i was a younger man.... it was rumored that i had Russian hands, and Roman fingers !!

Joatmon's verses are soon forgotten,
Some men say they're mighty rotten.

So pull the handle and flush the pot,
You want substance? You read for naught.

i have used all of these models.

the 441 and 575 felt chinsy to me,not that solid feel to them.i didn't notice the smoothness either.i also didn't like that tinny sound from the motor.could have been the chain or just wear and tear from the guys crew. my buddy just got a 441 so i'll try his.he's picky about his saws and chains like me.out of the bunch,i like the 372 or the 044 the best.a 372 with a stihl RSC chain is one smooth combo and tought to beat.same chain on the 044 was almost as smooth.i sharpened both chains though.

Hey hey hey your a man that has run all 4 saws. Sawing wise is there 10cents worth of differance in all 4?

I have noticed the engine pitch on the 441 is different. It reminds me more of a "howl" than "tinny." Man, that saw sure eats wood though.

Speaking of engine notes...tomorrow I will be cutting with 4 different saws. 441, 041, 051 and a 009. All pretty different. The 441 should wipe the floor with the older saws in speed. The 009 puts on a pretty tough display though. Sounds like a little mean beastie.

Kind of a silly post there, Joe. Our best selling saw, and the guys are very happy with them. It will be around in the Husky catelog for quite some time.

Timberhauler: You ought to do a comparison with the 575 and 441 like you did with the 395 and 660. You are a straight shooter, unlike a lot of the "brand biggots" here on the site, so your opinions are pretty well respected.

That there is funny:bang:

As we speak I can hear Mow typing all the way down in Texas... :hmm3grin2orange:

Been to busy to type lately. But I stihl don't think any kind of comparison from him would be legit, he jumps around too much and he doesn't even know the difference between a 660 and a 650.:help:
