Congrats on your ms150 Bennie!! ;)

All the best with the news bennie.

The wood is wattle chippy, prob black wattle, burns hot but quick.

Kamba, $38 / Litre bottle at Elders in Maffra last year, about to use it here, our broad leaf is just firing up now.

(If you go to Elders Maffra speak to Bill, his expertise in this chem. field is 1st class.)

You see the weed that the Oracle is holding, it appears in 4 of the pics.....Matt says it's not clover, I didn't think it was either....I do have clover but don't mind it at all..

This one above is just beginning to flower, you can see it purple in one of the pics...

We want to wipe out this to....but i dont think this stuff would be classed as a broad leaf....in one of the pics I tested glyso on it 2 weeks ago and you can see it dying dead in the pic next to the live happy stuff I want to make sad.

Just roundup the lot and start again [emoji2]

Research (google) indicates the weed may be Modiola (but i can only find orange flower varieties) or ground ivy or similar . ...anyone know anything about it?

Peter, I thought it was wattle, but from the way it burns I thought it had to be something better...that one burns well......I do have other stuff what I thought was wattle but it's crap to burn.....maybe it's something else...peppermint perhaps...do we get that around here?

It's a native. The name will come to me.

Kamba M will knock all the broad leaves.
As someone mentioned you just need to be careful of root uptake from things you want to keep. If anything is planted near the lawn that isn't a grass just go light in their root zone.
If you want me to bore you senseless just send me (or Matt) a pm.

Help much appreciated everyone.

I'm guessing Elders Maffra isn't open Sundays so I'll grab some later next week on the way back from Melbourne and do a test on my neighbours front lawn.

The bark is black, like metallic hard to bend/break, curls inward as it dries?

Bet your lefty on it !

It's not Peppermint from what I can see.

Correct they're shut, Dougy at Stratty Hardware might have it or Wiggies, Maffra open 7days/week now.

Skip for sure...Will be using it on the 461.

I don't think we have an equivalent Tsumura in the light style here yet but will give him a call.

Thanks
I think the Tsumuras are nearly$150 normally full weight. Just used my 36es light today with the A3ep have a RSH chain but needed the semi chisel. held up enough to finish up another 1/4 tank for the job

That's exactly what I was going to type but add one more thing.....it's a huntsmans paradise....that's the crap stuff I hate too.

Never used Kamba before, will be applying it this week.

Could be a wild Geranium also, edible, smokable in peace pipe, make tea out of it, broil with 1/2 a bison and is a well known suppository
in the Heckarwe tribe of North America (unfortunately now extinct).

Pls report back re effectiveness of these uses in the morning.

You know, the two trees look the same, same bark...ones great to burn ones crap to burn....maybe it's just rot...I dunno

I prefer something a little more leafy with larger flowers
