I can totally understand,I'm the same on our place (and we've been here two years!)
Good luck on the job, watch that bloody ringlock, I was clearing thick coffe bush with my 362, and hit a hidden bit of rabbit fencing, almost ended up with a new parting in my hairline.
if you need me to bring a couple of big clearing saws over for an avo (Stihl FS560 and Husky 252rx) just sing out, happy to help.

Thanks Skipster.

Will do what I can with the chainsaw. Got a ton of those spindly juvenile melaleuca that have wound their way through the ringlock every foot. Brush off will kill em but I reckon a better job is to clear then spray.

The fencing I'm doing we're only tacking on temp so when we move in I can lay it down and drop trees across it. The fence won't last the first decent wind as there's large branch overhang every meter so a lot to drop to keep the fence in good shape.

I'd like to be able to clear enough to be able to drive around the outside of the perimeter but that would mean dropping a few thousand good size eucs and big fines from council and Parks Vic....and too many stumps to deal with.

Will just have to put up with fence damage for ever I reckon.

We're allowed to clear & maintain a 6 m corridor for fences plus fire breaks on property boundaries, the bushfire Act overrides any legislation saying it isn't allowable.

Contact the council and Parks DSR or what ever they are know and find out about fire brakes fence clearing and go from there, i think you will find rules have changed.

That's the way it used to be here in Vic the last time I checked, but that was 20 years ago.

If I can clear 6mtrs on the other side of my fence that's going to give me a bit of work and more timber than I'd know what to do with.

Just read the new rules.

Total allowable clearing along a boundary fence line is 4 mtrs. So if I have 4 mtrs cleared inside my fence I can't clear anything on the outside of it. That's a bit stuffed to stop things falling on my fence.

If I have only 2mtrs clear on my side then I can cut down anything within 2 mtrs except Aboriginal protected trees. This includes trees in the forest and on road reserves.

Did a few stumps last year on a renewal of a fenceline fronting local road out this way chippy, he was alllowed to
fall within 1 metre of property line.

A check with DEWLP(?) & Shire would cover bases, prosecutions occurred recently re this issue.

Read the law on it Creeker and I am pretty stuffed if I want to clear the fence line around most of it. Some places I'll be right though.

If I'm stupid about it I have no doubt I'll be another prosecution and I don't want that.

nope, mainly small homeowner stuff. about 300 sprockets for 023's etc, lots of AM parts, some cylinders, but nothing that interesting.
Most of this stuff i dont know what to do with, but it was on its way to the tip,so i leaped in to save it.
a small amount of 064 stuff which got me excited.

Haha. Gotta take what you can get if it's the right price! [emoji2]
