Well after a ####house day at work I get home to my new saw!!! Think it's a bit late to fire her up but am extremely toey! And now I just got my house back from being leased out my first priority is installing a wood fire insert into the open fireplace to justify my ms660 ported firewood saw View attachment 297572

I see someone local has finally cottoned onto the 'ceramic bearings' like the bloke on US ebay.
Check the prices here!
HotRod Ported Polished Ceramic Bearings Husqvarna Stihl Chainsaws | Power Tools | Gumtree Australia Southern Downs - Warwick
he is also on ebay

At least the bloke in the US that was spouting his ported, polished ceramic bearing Huskies also supplied them with an extra comforting layer of tennis racquet grip wrapped over the handle for his exorbitant fee!

Carl

I do not know this builder, I recon I know all the performance boys in QLD.
I'm thinking plenty, better to say nothing.

Importing the us junk....

Says handlebar wrap tape in the ad.
Be interesting to know what the stage 5 port entails....

Should look up some old topics to find some port numbers (degrees, compression etc)

Only thing they can do is polish parts that don't need it and a basic muff mod as well as the bearing swap.

Dammit, my personal saw builder has gone public, going to have to fire him now

In all seriousness now, never heard of any builder from that area, but then again you never know, hmmmmmm, I'm betting on snake oil.

I'm not really into youtube, can't handle the ####head comments but Jon1212 posted this in another thread and I had to share.
I know I'm only a firewood hack but OMG, some of these blokes are, well, see for yourselves. :D

No.

Yes, or Matt can supply a good full syn oil at a very good price.

I'm partial to Motul and can get it locally, but Silkolene, Maxima, Castrol, Mobil, all make good full syn two stroke oils (but Castrol Power 1 racing TTS burns the frig out of my eyes and nose :( )

Besides the obviouse internet sensation ,how many saw builders in oz do you know WILL who have a need to skite about their saw builds in public.

Again besides the obviouse, how many builders do you know who don't have the ability to run their own build to its full protensial, or design it to do a specific style of cutting.

Regarding this Warrick guy, time will tell, maybe he is or maybe he isn't.

With the Warwick Wonder saws everything is a bit sus mate.

As for saw builders, all the good ones are busy kicking people out of their sheds, and they like to keep it quiet about what is on the inside.

"Warwick Wonder saws" have been selling a bunch of imported saws on the bay in the last year or so. I guess they also bought into the whole stage 5 ceramic bearing port jobs from that character in the US and just added 1K to the price. You never know but they may catch a sucker with their big sales pitch who-ha... stranger things have happened.

Found my old lawn edger in the shed, put some fresh fuel in it to see if it still goes - then I remembered it was a ryobi motor :( 5 mins of pulling the rope and yes you already know how well it didn't run...

Anybody have a spare car airbag laying around so I can nuke this thing :censored: :msp_sneaky:

Absolutely correct Will.
That is how it is here in our part of the world.
The simple fact is, the few who have the ability and credibility to win respect from the race community are in big silent demand.
The rest need to advertise with zero effect.

Please be gentle, I'm very, very sensitive :D

Well in that case I have a buamr-ag here that needs a bit more poke... I'm sure you would be interested. I don't think ceramic bearings will be necessary though so that should save me a bit.
