Crowday is this saturday behind the crowsnest pub.
All of QLD's best will be on show there.
Full raceing program, except saws only modified production (visualy standard, no pipes)
including an 090 speed event in big blocks.
I have nominated and paid but pulled out due to work commitments.

Funlovin,,,,, this is a chance for you to watch QLD's best cut iron bark post billets against the clock.
Free entry.

Mann, I wish I was around for that this weekend, but I have to be on the coast instead :(

In the post rips you can expect... U100cc rip, open rip, teams rip, novice rip also the jack and jill.
A bobcat goes all day sorting billets ect and by days end a large pile of saleable posts will there.

Neil, was wondering if you could make it, I am in the same boat, work has me too far away to get back and play for day,, definatly a top day to race in and to watch. It might as well be a national titles race with the level of competitors, always tough to get into a final there.

Not far to go to get a stubbie, the race is right behind the pub! Can't beat that!

Cheers
Will

G'day Will, no i had to pull out that work thing, stops us sometimes. I have a few smaller shows coming up and i did a charity rip with phil and dean at our local school last weekend.
We gave ripping demos all day and then auctioned off the posts for the school.
Good training tho and with the other shows coming up hopefully we will give you QLD's a run at walcha in dec. I sold dean my 394 pipe so hopefuly he will make a final or win soon with it.
later neil.

Neil, at least you have a chance to do sum cutting, I had to leave all my gear at home while I am away working, won't be able to do anything with em till a day or two before Walcha :frown:, not the way I like to prepare for a race, but all will be good come race day :msp_thumbsup:

Cheers

Come across any snakes this year yet guys? nearly planted my size 11s on a 5' brown today..no weapon in site (not that id hurt it,you aint allowed ).
Lived in the bush 48 years and im still scared of them and dont mind admitting it.I know they dont chase ya..wouldnt matter if they did to me..theyd be doing a lot of slippin in the brown stuff running down the back of my legs :eek2:

seen a few small tigers around mainly out the back of the zoo, with the mouse plague thats been going on i reckon were headed into a couple of big years for snakes now theres plenty of food and water around

I saw a flatish one on the road yesterday,he had the goodyear tyre tred across him.:D

There the good ones!

Yeah,i think your spot on there mate

Yeah snakes are everywhere down here at the moment, mainly Browns. I've run over half a dozen in the last month.
Dozens run over on the roads and funnily enough all about the 3-4 foot mark. I did clobber one with the ute and trailer with about 2 tonne on board. He was up near 6 foot and didn't fare well.
Billy's right, that mouse plague has got them extremely fat and happy. Some farmers I do work for are seeing them everywhere.

Here is a big Brown I clobbered crossing a road a few years back. He was one angry bastard (understandably!) and about 6 foot long. Finished him off with a rock. Funnily enough they are protected, I just don't try too hard to avoid them but rarely go out of my way...

Well I come in to post that I had a couple of browns around the house and what do I find!

A five footer crossed the drive in front of me and Axel in cruise mode. Later in the arvo a smaller one must have crossed the lawn to the paddock fence as I noticed something caught Axel's eye. He then paid particular attention to the other side of the fence. After about five minutes yep, there it was slowly slithering away into the long grass.

My biggest issue is Axel doesn't have any fear in these snakes by the looks of things. Hmmm, what to do!

wonderfull selection of dribble to read after a couple weeks living in some strange places, willcania and tilpa to be exact. hope everyones doing well, on the 4x4 subject my old hilux work ute dropped something on me way home and used 25 litres of oil in 200ks! not healthy at all, and as for snakes bloody hell they are thick ran over nine in a week missed several. finally tally of kills for 2 weeks was 9 snakes 2 roos 1 emu 1 pig and 4 goats, good effort i thought for the old gutlux , and might i say theres some mighty strange people in that river country

Hi Aaron, how's things mate?

I made it to Siverton in Sept and boy, haven't they stuffed Siverton....well the pub actually. And $9.00 for a can of Jim Beam! :dizzy:

We went through Tilpa and Wilcania to get there. Have they sold the Tilpa pub yet?

Bloody goats have always been fierce, but the emu's were unreal this time around.
