So I've modified a 20" 46rs chain by taking out every third cutter. Should I take out the depth gauge too? They're at the minimum mark as it is. Will this effect how it cuts?

Poor man's semi skip chain. I have done similar making safety stuff into non-safety. The added rakers will likely make for a more level and smoother running chain. I would leave them in.

Bloody ell, look at what showed up at my shed. Getting a chain made up for this legend and have a lap at the 090 race this coming weekend at Crows Nest

If anyone is in the area come on out. We also have a 090 post rip at Kilcoy Sat night.

Good stuff Will, get her sorted and let her go, I would of liked to get away but just cannot do QLD this season.

lol POS THE BP-1 " THE REVOLUTIONARY NEW CHAIN SAW THAT MEETS YOUR EVERY NEED "

A little more on this recalled failure.
I have PMed Bill G on this vid and he assures me its not him but thinks its one of his saws sold off some years back.
I'm sure its a rare collectors saw given the fact it was recalled, and not all were returned by the sounds of it.
Obviously had good reason for the recall so in essence it was a costly blunder passing through all the pre production field tests and still going into production and sold to the public.

That was BP-1 the guy that bought it off ebay got her going as you can see in the video as old Bill sold it as a non goer .... on the recall the fear of a high speed blow up was the reason something to do with the governpr they reackon but I wonder if in fact that happened their a real hand full to work on and that was most of the problem and I'd say time consuming.

They were exported to Sweden where Elux the owners of Husqvarna sold them Mac had quite a bit to do with Elux as Elux was a distributer for Mac in Europe

What Rabbits ?........ An old pic from the 1930's..... After WW1 my grandfather made a living out of rabbit skins, sold them to hat makers that made Rabbit felt hats.

My uncle used to take me rabbit trapping when I was a little nipper no shooting just trapping a lot of underground mutton he sold a lot to the local butcher but the release of the viruses put an end to that
A poor mans Sunday Roast was gone ....................

That 070 does look familiar!.....Has it still got the original chrome & red dealer sticker just above the muffler ?

Yes I believe it does, will have to have another look when I get home. Don't tell me its one of those scam saws that get advertised all over lol. The seller was real nice, he even sent me some extra parts because the starter sprawl was a bit sticky.

Mate shot that one its a beauty ain't it lol love shooting foxes my most favourite critter to nail and feral cats and dopey looking dogs like bobs

Cats are my favorite. I hate those bastards.
Foxes are cool too. Seen a few with Graham Kennedy eye syndrome over the years. When they sit in a spotlight looking directly at you they normally cop it straight between the eyes.

Going good mate. Fitted a decent red dot scope to it and she's a cracker. Not the most accurate thing on earth but I can hit baby formula tins consistently at 120m so that's fine by me. It's drop is similar to a .22 Mag.
Biggest problem is the noise. You simply cannot fire it without hearing protection. It sucks having to stalk animals wearing earplugs or muffs. I have a pair of the electronic Peltors which are great but they still limit your hearing a fair bit.
With 240gn loads it will drop a decent Billy running away with a fair bit of authority up the arse end. Haven't wounded an animal with it yet. Have started loading some 180gn Hornady XTP HP that I got cheap but don't have the same confidence in those up the clacker. They kick a fair bit harder than the factory 240gn loads so assume the factory's are loaded down a bit.
Nailed a Billy in the head with it the other week and his eyes looked like that Fox above :)

Seen my share of carnage bob, a few decapitations, severed limbs and body parts have to be recovered and bagged if there a bad fatal ,the good ones are when we assist the medics on leg amputation's to recover ,then there's always the ones when there all mangled up within the wreck, that's always a messy call out , took us hours to find one guy who hit a tree at 180kph, he got flung 50m into the scrub and ended up kebab in a tree, that job needed a chainsaw for recovery, an 066 actually .....did 6 long years with SES road crash before given it away to RAFT Rural fire service.
