A little bit of service information can be found in an Intertec Chain Saw Service Manual. Your local library should have some of the editions. The 10th edition covers saws through 1998.

Did a search and couldnt find one. Im working on 031 but think it maybe an 030.

I would love to get my hands on a service manual and parts list for the MS290. It's been one fine-runnin' machine so far, but from what I've read on this site it'll probably spit the crank tomorrow and beef me in the marbles with it when it does!
