I did something I have never done this weekend... I went to the woodlot with only two saws in hand.... I'll let the pics speak for themselves. Total for the weekend was just shy of 10 cords. One load on saturday, and two today. Sorry about the pics, as I only got one pic of todays loads, and it was already dark so I stopped at a lit up gas station for a half decent pic.
People can rag all they want on either of the two saws, but I really like the pair. Since I have had both of them, I find myself using the other saws less and less. Ran a 28" on the 7900 most of yesterday and the 24" today. That 5100 really screams. My buddy now wants one. He feels so sheltered after using my 55 for the last year and half.
The slab with the saws on it is one of the pieces of ash that was upwards of 38" in diameter that I would have normally gotten the 660 out, but becuase i only had the 7900, I had to make due... It powered its way through the wood, and then effortless ripped it in quarters. I plan to make a couple end tables with them after my CSM shows up. It is more of a saw that I first anticipated. Don't get me wrong, it is not a 660, but for the guy that doesn't have 1200 bucks to plop down on the king, the 7900 is right behind it for a lot less money.
Anywho, just wanted you guys to see a couple pics and give the pair of dolmars a two thumbs up after, again, another flawless outing.
