Here's a funny one McBoob.....I came to Australia over Christmas in Jan. of 2002, and 2003. Went to NSW, Tasmania, Victoria, and Queensland. Not once at all the woodchopping events I attended did I see a chainsaw race. I was told it's not popular and unsafe. No one wanted to insure a race. In fact, don't you have to have a license and wear a safety glove to run a chainsaw in Australia?.....Hahahahahaha!

Ya need to be a member of an association for insurance ( the insurance company's are blaming 9/11 for that one ) and personall protection gear we wouldn't want ya going home wounded now would we.

We're safety aware not rednecks !! And it's better than no racing.

You must not have had yours eyes open! there are some of the keenest hotsaw and bike saw users on the North coast of Tasmania! If you are on the wood chopping pulse you would have had to ran into David Foster in Lartrobe!!
Nth coast NSW has some of the quickest Huskies about! And as for Queensland you must have had your head in ya bum ol mate as they race anything you can get a dremmel into and put a pipe on!
Give us a date when you can get here so I can a few mates together :jawdrop:

This little number for a bike saw gets me going! I took the photo Tasmania 2003

So I think Tony might like to see you and ya bike saw when next your in Tassie, I reckon if I gave him a ring he might even come here !

Hang on heres another one at the Tassie chainsaw and woodchop 2003! Me and a what?

So come to think with a little help from my friends"Bring it on" :yoyo:

Yep! Met David, Dale Beams, Billy Youd, and Matthew Gurr. In fact Matthew and Dale Beams came and stayed at my place. So has Harold Winkle and Justin Becket. Justin bought one of the 250's I built to run in the Stihl Timbersport Series. Dale Ryan comes and stays almost every year. I consider Dale or Kerry Head to be about the best Aussie chainsaw/bikesaw users. Then there's Brad DeLosa, Brad Turner and Gary Matheson. Never heard of MacMuncher though....Hahahahahaha!

You have now!Ask Dale what happen at the rodo festival at Blackheath NSW a few years back! On his home turf to! I'll let him tell you why he went home early

Daves 500 was faster than that at the Comma classic, hang on Dennis I did not see you there running against him :biggrinbounce2: Hang on he was the only one to come over  Up until the forum Dennis I never heard of you either.
Did I mention Cooma in it's day had 48 sawer's

I lost count after 3 seconds on that cut!
When Dave came over they found him a nice soft 32' pine log and he cut it in 2.03. Have you got any quicker ones?

Now now Mc Muncher back off Dennis a little otherwise we'll frighten him off as that might not be his fastest saw ......................... ??

Mc Bender Bob.

After checking Cahoon's track record it looks like he's hard to beat.
Dennis might be alot of things, but you never hear him brag in mixed company.
Can't speak for Mike Rupley, but Dennis and his posey don't generaly recieve an invite and why would they?
John
