The Homelite 540/8800 Thread

It is in a box under my bench at the moment, I have not had time to do anything with it. Still hunting for a runner...

I'm going to start working on my 8800. The only problem I have is the clutch spring broke. The IPL doesn't show the spring being available separately. Does anyone know if it uses the same spring as a 540?

Hello, I'm New too the site. But have a question about 540 parts. I'm looking for a clutch side cover with brake for it and I'm finding it almost impossible to find. Anyone have any ideas on where to get one?

I know it's a long shot. But, I'm still trying to find a 540/8800 clutch cover.
