Yep. I have one S E-Z with the factory spike, one with a 'home made' spike....and several (including parts saws) with no spike set.

While I'm whining about Homelite spikes..........I need a spike set for my XL-103.

Will one from a 1050 fit?

Nope. They're an odd size/shape. Sort of an enlarged Super E-Z spike.

Some P.O. sawed off the one on the Pioneer RA and just stuck a length of plastic straw in the hole.

Also, does anyone have any parts? I know I need at least a pulley cover and an engine top cover.

Looking for a top cover/heat sheild, and a recoil for a Pioneer RA? Cash or trade... I have an running 031AV, and a couple of smaller pioneers (1073 1074) both have good compression, one is without spark.

Assuming I'll likely need seals etc.... haven't started pulling it apart yet. If I get rained out of my outdoor work this weekend I may start stripping it down to see what all I need.

Found a starter.... but it has a broken recoil spring. Now looking for a spring for either an RA or one from a 600 series Pioneer.... Also still looking for a top cover and heat shield.

I found a spring for my RA on a peg board down at Jeffs Small Engine repair.

Plastic bag has "Stens 155-044, replaces Tecumseh 590433". Fits very well and works fine.

It is a Fairbanks-Morse starter.

Thanks for the info... I found an online source "Rotory Corp Canada" and placed an order... brand new spring for just under $14... shipping on top though.
