Greeting all!
I'm new to the world of sawing... just got me an MS361 for Christmas, and have finally got the beast broke in after bucking up about 5 chords of green pine. I'm quite impressed with how this thing slices through the spindly pines of our local boreal forest.
In an amusing aside... I was fetching some firewood on Sunday, and went to a masseuse to tend to my resulting sore muscles on Monday. I mentioned that I was stiff from chainsawing. She asked what kind of saw I had. A Stihl, I said. What kind, she said. A really good one, I said. No, what model number, she asked. An MS361, I said, somewhat perplexed. That's a great saw, she said. Then she said, that she figured that the Stihl's ruled under about 70cc's, and the Huskies were maybe better over 70cc's. Cool, I said. Apparently, she used to sell Chainsaws prior to undertaking a career in massage. I think I found my new favourite masseuse.
Anyway, I digress. Been doing a lot of searching on how to best tune the saw, and of course tried to find the Madsen's Sawtune web page, but of course, it's down. Any advice on the next best source of info on tuning?
