Moody, I don't have any where near your experience with this stuff, but sometimes even an amateur comes up with a good idea. Do you think if you restricted the muffler a little it would pick up the torque? Just a suggestion that may be worth trying.

The muffler mod isn't as aggressive as I usually do. I plan on playing with it and finding a sweet spot. Back pressure helps some saws and others like to flow. So this one I'll play around with and find out. I believe that a bit of adjusting on my durations is where ultimately I will find the best fix. It's the same top end as the OE just acts a little differently.

Good point. Some saws need more back pressure than others. I'm thinking of making pipes for mufflers that I could thread a pipe out of a bushing. A washer with different size holes could be placed in the bushing with the treaded pipe holding it in. Swap washers and compare.

If you make a slot to hold washers with different size holes right on the side of the Muffler that would probably be better. Pipes change things, and a partially blocked pipe will send waves back, but I think your concept is great.

So, are all of the 362 c-m's coming with the quick adjust chain tensioner as opposed to the bar nut side chain adjuster?

This one has the traditional side tensioner. I don't believe that the option is there to get the quick tensioner.

The "C" on the 362-C is different than say a MS 250C.

That C had a different meaning.
The "C" means different things on different Stihl saws, on the black handled saws it means cr@p, on the orange handle saws it means cheap, and on the white handle Stihl saws it stands for costly. hahahahahaha

Thanks
On the Stihl Pro Saws it stands for C-M (which means it has M-Tronic), on homeowner saws it is for comfort package, which includes the ez chain adjuster.
Thanks Mike. I had one saw with the ez crapola and hated it. That was on a little saw, can't even imagine it on a bigger saw, but I know its been done...

I'll post my video bloopers from yesterday if you guys can take it in good humor

Before I post these I want to explain a couple of things. The chain that's being used is a loop of RSC that was hanging up. It was a work chain set up for hedge. Not real aggressive like the original chain.

Yes I would like to see them, as in see someone else do it lol. Last week I took a new RS out of the box, hit a spike on the 3rd cut, really messed up, I had to grind half of the chain away.
