Windthrown, no debating that the 361 is one of the all time greats, but what is your beef with the other two saws? I'm not connection which post you are referring to?

My comment was a reply to my old friend Stihl Sawing's remarks regarding the situation that this thread has evolved into, and a shyte stirring stirthepot.gif remark about both the 362 and 562. Some other posts got stuffed between SS's and mine by the time mine was posted.

I actually agree that he 362 is a heavy pig compared to the 361. However, I would never buy a 562 either, because it has a lame, stupid and PITA SawTroll loving outboard clutch! dead-horse.gif I also agree with your comment that Moody is seemingly moody... and I would add that this thread has gone where too many have gone before. animated-smileys-toilet-001.gif

BTW: This site is not where I seek to find any intelligence. Entertainment, an undervalued saw or two, a place to vent and keep in touch with some old friends here and down under, yes... This winter has created some pent up cabin fever for sure. As said above, go cut some wood, or crack some corn*, or get laid, or something. *No offense JimmyCC, I love your avatar. That's entertaining.

MustangMike, just for future reference, when people put several wildly silly "smilies" after a controversial or confrontational post, it generally means they were just playing. Like if I wrote "a mustang GT is a POS, and no amount of aftermarket supercharging is gonna change that:D:D:rolleyes::popcorn:". The smilies indicate that I was poking good natured fun at you. I'm not gonna mention any names, but sarcasm seems to be the first language of a few members here

Nah, I don't need to contact him. he knows how to get a hold of me. he told me he would be back about three days ago. Thought he was going to come back and straighten this mess up... guess not. I won't say no more.

2014-04-13 09.30.58.png I call bull on all this saw that saw crap!!! They r all good saws and Id be proud to own any of the saws mentioned in these posts but I very seriously doubt Id want a 361 over a 362c or a 562xp. I can say that my 362c is pretty impressive even compared to my 441c

I thank Winthrown and others for their comments, and yea, I did miss the "cartoon". I'm used to Windthrown being so "factual" and straight forward, my bad.

Yes the 362 C-M is heavier than a 361, but it will also easily out cut it (both saws stock), so there is a reward in the trade off. So referring to the 362 as a pig is like calling the 361 anemic. As KG says, they are all good saws (including the Orange). If a saw does what you expected it to do, it is a good saw. The overwhelming feedback from 362 C-M owners is that the saw has exceeded their expectations (mine included). That is a good thing, and it makes other peoples opinions about the saw largely irrelevant.

Yeah, Mike don't let me get under your skin. You obviously enjoy your creamsickle and I enjoy giving you a little rash about it. The local dealer doesn't even carry the Steal pro saws so I haven't touched one but they are apparently a good piece. From all accounts, the 362 could be the second best 60cc saw on the market!:buttkick:

Do they even have trees to cut in the Northland? Wouldn't an electric chainsaw be a better choice for ya?

You sure you aren't thinking about Joco KS? They doze every tree and hill to increase breeding habitat for the worlds worst drivers.

Actually, on my little 1.x acre city lot I have over 30 trees, a few are 30" Oaks, a couple 24" Shagbark, a few Walnuts, huge Hackberry, and a weird little clump of Hedge.

Whereabouts are you?

Can we safely put the 362cm in the top ten? :blob2:

Of course!

As I said, 362 cm is a very good saw. His only problem is his rival 560/562/2260.

I know very well the 560/562, and I can say that the Husqvarna's engineers have really done an amazing job to make these saws that light and handy. 362 cm is still based on the "classic" 362. I'm sure Stihl could do much better.

I think the 61hundred is a legitimate threat to the 562 and 362 for the guy that doesnt want to give up his screwdrivers and also wants to save some coin.
Keep the screwdriver !! lol! ive had both and would choose electronic everytime now. If dolmar had electronic control I would have considered a 6100. Actually called the Dolmar dealer about one

Bryan, If you are talking ported saws you may be correct, I think porting levels the playing field a bit, but if you are referring to stock says (or muffler modded) I will bet on the ones with electronic controls every time.

By the way, I like your Sawmikaze quote: "Sawmikaze: the pissing and moaning over a couple ounces is unreal , if 6 ounces makes or breaks you maybe cutting wood wasnt your calling in life !"

Don't know how everyone missed that one when dealing with me and the 362 C-M!

 I asked him if I could use that quote as soon as I saw it.
