Hello to all, I'm still trying to read up on this trainwreck of a build thread.

I just got home from my honeymoon, the ms362c is my saw and it isn't for sale.....well everything is for sale, but the thread isn't in the trading post for that reason.

Also Moody is porting the ms362c absolutely for free for me. I told him I would buy a new 362 if he would port it for free since he had been wanting to port one so bad, I told him he could borrow it whenever he wanted to take to a gtg along with any of the saws that he has ported for me.

I hate all this drama crap, so I would really like to stay out of it. I won't speak for Moody, but I'll stand up for how generous and the nice work he has done for me.
Jimmy, yes it is fin460's saw.

30 min till the 362 arrives at my house! I'm excited to run it.

If you've ran a Makita 6401 that will give you a good baseline of reference. I was running my 6401 that day with full chisel and having a blast. I think that was why the first saw Moody handed me wasn't so spectacular. I REALLY like my 6401. Bone stock those things are impressive. Anyway, he handed me the 362 so I put my 6401 aside and tried the Stihl. Keep in mind, the 6401 is larger displacement and (for me) a superior machine. I'm not partial to any brand, but I do like that 6401. The 362 he built ran well enough that I was trying to make it bog down in hard wood. I was paying more attention to the rpm's than where the chain was going. The log was only 16" or 18" diameter so I couldn't bury the bar, that's why I was pushing so hard on it.

NOTE: I wasn't the only one who trashed a chain that day on the log stand. I know of at least two others who ate some steel, although mine was the worst.

Dang it Brad, I'm sure that I will agree with you, but you just zapped all the excitement out of trying the 8 pin.

Thanks for the insight though.

I run an 8 pin all the time on 60cc saws. Of course, they're usually wearing the 8" bar.
Ms 362 cm with 18 b/c and mm. 1 tank of fuel so far. 7 pin

Looks like it came with the "teeter-totter" bar option:D

I hope everyone realizes that porting saws full time is not an easy gig.

The whole deal, selling yourself, the work, the shipping, dealing with customers, issues, complaints, criticisms......

Just do your very best Justin, be up front and honest, and never be afraid to tell people what is really going on.

That's why I don't advertise or do it full time.
