Don't look now, but the Mets are in third place in their division.

How 'bout that grand salami last night?????? Talking about getting up off the carpet when you've been punched in the mouth!!!!
Uggla will do that for you once in a while. He'll also boot a few more often though. Id be concerned for you guys until you find a catcher though. We ran at will against you guys last week and there was no response. I dont think you guys can overcome the lack of defensive catcher AND starting pitching AND if Kimbrel goes down for any extended length of time you guys have some challenges. We of course have Lucas Duda (waiting to finally reach his MVP potential)...and GG candidate Reuben Tejada.

Uggs is off to a much better start this year than last. My son wears #26 on his jersey bc of DU.

I'll take a young Gattis over a "mature" McCann. A 30YO MLB catcher is pretty much done. Besides, in a bench clearing brawl, my money is on Gattis over just about anyone!!!

I agree. Especially about running at will.
That's a serious weak spot right there.
Runners in scoring position.....
Hopefully el oso blanco will up his game.

Mike ,these little 2 stroke saws respond different to mods then cars do ,but they pump air in and out like anything else ,pump more air ,get more power is a simple way i can describe it ,a lot of loggers around here run triple ports on the saws ,there must be a reason besides the noise it makes

There is no debate that stock they are overly restrictive, and no debate that proper mods will improve performance. The unresolved (in my mind anyway) is if too much will take away from performance instead of improving it. For example, I doubt that you know of anyone who has simply removed their muffler.

Yes I have... Treemonkey did it at a GTG in KY...
Just to prove a point....

I found this to be true myself. My 026 was the first saw I did a mm on. I miscalculated the first time around (180%) and ended up with very poor throttlerresponse. I closed it down to roughly 120% and all is well. There was no loss of power between the two muffler openings.

OK, no one get upset with me, remain calm, but this is what I am talking about, and I had a similar experience when I tried to "improve" a duel port muffler cover on my 044.

If you are loosing throttle response with a 180% opening, it is because you are loosing low end torque because you opened it up too much.

If you open it further, you will loose even more low and mid range torque.

While the motor may still be fine running flat out, it will be easier to slow it if you are running a large bar in tough wood. What percentage opening will result in the saw not performing well in the cut I don't know, but I believe it will happen at some point in time. Just because someone was able to cut cookies without noticing a loss of torque does not mean it did not occur.

Perhaps a saw on a dyno is the only way to resolve this issue.

I am not trying to twist facts to support my point of view. I am looking for hard evidence that will support one opinion or the other, and to date I have not seen it.

Murph, ya know you're like my southern brother from my other mother but 'ya got Gattis wrong.( behind the plate) Yes he is a Hoss, but no he can't replace what McCann brought to that defense. Both my boys are catchers, we watch closely at technique and receiving skills. I try to teach "catching leadership" to them. McCann is everything a "leader" should be on a team. Hard to quantify, even harder to replicate or replace.

The question for us is, how are the only two Braves fans( you and Mclaren) in the world also chainsaw buffs too ?

I would love to see the results of your tests. It would be great to see the both the cookie cutter times, and what happens when you put a load on the saw.

Perhaps you will teach my stubborn A** something.

Thanks.

You haven't listened to anyone else, why would you listen to him?

I am very surprised, especially since Redfin and I both experienced hesitation issues with less than 200% opening, but every saw is different and I thank you for the information.

on your 044 open the factory opening to 15-17 mm on side ,throw a dual port cover on it and adjust the carb accordingly ,if you want extra tourque see if it has the early flywheel on it ,a simple heavier flywheel will give you more tourque than the muffler mod ,hope i did not open a can of worms on the flywheel ...........lol

McCann does bring leadership as well as chemistry to a team. I really miss Brian.
As far as being a Braves fan I thought everyone was ;). Americas team and all...

+1 if you Mike or Dex dont send MM yours- I might have to buy one for the sake of AS.

I thought Randy has done a "C" model 362?

I want to send him mine, but I have a Get Together in 4 weeks. I would need a 3 week turn around and the saw isn't broken in yet. So technically, I need it back in 2 weeks. I am still waiting on the return of the 036 and 460. So the last thing I wanna do is ask him to hurry and/or push other people's saws back.

So I will run it for a couple/few more months and get it good and broken in.

Now, if he really wanted/needed a 362C for an upcoming build thread or for him to run at a GTG? Then as you know, he would only have to ask. It would be on its way to Cuddle Lane in a heartbeat ;)

But his hitting is average and spotty.

As I said, I'll take a young, up and coming, Gattis and keep the money that McCann cost the Yanks...you know, spend more and you guaranteed to get the best...sounds like a Stihl policy. Gattis looks far worse in left field than behind the plate...and I was a catcher too...the Tools of Ignorance!!

I am stubborn, but I am not stupid. I do like to see the evidence. FYI, there are also a lot of Orange supports that make unsubstantiated comments all the time, and no one calls them on it. I also like to apply my auto engine knowledge to chainsaws, but that (admittedly) does not always work.

Hopefully, in the end, we all learn something.
Well I hope to hell you do. And soon. You've been presented with facts and you choose to ignore them and babble on. Maybe if you'd sit back and listen, you would learn something, but it's doubtful.
