Actually the truth is that probably nothing that could be put in writing would have helped turnkey4099 not get his saw stuck. Basically with difficult trees of that size you gotta just do your best. I've gotten saws stuck in situations that would be childs play if I asked someone to write me instructions on how to fall it.
Sometimes it's just the wind, improperly estimated lean, not paying attention or a small mistake and the saw is stuck.
