I'm not fond of the exhaust out the front of the muffler. Cutting logs it blows back in your face.

On an 036 I would just open up the factory hole.

I would too but the muffler has rusted apart. I've got two 036's and the second one I did open up the factory muffler.

The old 034 supers and 036 have the holed cover over the front like an 026. I like the looks of those just opening it up some. Diverts the gas es but is kind of hidden. I'll see if I got one when I get home to take a pic of!

I appreciate it. I may be better off just to go to a local dealer and mod it

You should be able to clean everything out under the deflector with a Dremel or like tool.

Can you read? If yes there are dozends of threads here and otherwhere on how to do a muffler mod.

Edit:
Sorry bad day. Size of cylinder "exit" should be same size as muffler "exit". And then add a spark screen to be on the safe side.

Couldn't do my normal duals, brake handle would be in the way. So I had to put one one the front cover. When I put them on the front cover I don't like them to be very free flowing, so 90 percent doesn't go straight out the front. It might just keep a little back pressure and flow mainly out the rear side exit.
Not sure if there is any logic to this but it works in MY head.

i learned my lesson the hard way not to long ago . i only point ports away from the fill side now of course, a screen wouldnt have helped me either
