Nothing against teachers, but I wouldn't compare their selfless sacrifice to that of Mother Theresa or the Navy SEALs...my Mom worked much of her career in schools and it was a pretty sweet gig ... work 9 or 10 months a year but get paid for 12, with summers off along with every holiday under the sun, and "snow days," union representation, all-but-guaranteed raises every year, lots of benefits, tenure...more like being a politician than a first responder or sheepdog, if you ask me. Pretty nice racket for folks who couldn't have made it thru college if it weren't for "teachers' colleges"...

For a number of years, my Mom hosted her school's annual Christmas party at our house, and I got to witness many of the same teachers who had taught me, except now they were flogging INEBRIATED, good God those people could NOT hold their alcohol...people passed out in the snowmelt over top of the septic tank in the yard, and talk about fillet of fu$king STUPID...it was a real eye-opener for me...pretty embarrassing, really...
You are certainly entitled to your opinion, maybe you've never met a good teacher.

Oh, I've had some great teachers, no doubt about it. But I would say the median or mean was "can barely (and I mean BARELY) read"... definitely not the brightest bulbs in the box on the average, but I guess that's not necessarily a bad thing if it gives them the patience to babysit kids all day every day and not lose their minds, ideal career for a Forrest Gump or Karl Childers...

Any old 2 stroke dirt bike guys will remember tuning their bikes by taking a file to the muffler- expansion chamber while holding the throttle wide open. And if you remember this, you also Remember hitting the power band and holding on for dear life! 😂
Mt 250 elsinore,, 3rd gear Power band meant wheelies

Never forget jumping on my bud's RM80 when I was about 20. I had ridden my stepbrother's clapped out Yamaha 125 and beaten the crap out of that so when I jumped on this little tiny RM80 I immediately opened the throttle WFO...goddam thing climbed right out from under me and tried to climb up a tree...that dam little bike was POWERFUL and when it hit the power band, I bet the torque tripled. Can't imagine what my bud's brother's RM370 was like ... talk about death wish. He was a big galoot, but still, that thing had some grunt.
Many folks get hung up on displacement. Yes of course it had it:s place but your experience shows how many folks look at a smaller cc engine and underestimate it.

Probably 12 to 15 years ago my son's and were at a local consignment auction. There was a KZ80 there that was far from stock. I was looking it over when one of my son's said ...."dad that is just an 80". I laughed and smiled then said don that thing will take my fat arse down the highway faster than I would ever want it to. Later a couple other folks talked about how wicked quick they were.undoms them started to understand.

I have to disagree with yer "old saying". There are good and bad teachers, and I've had both in my limited education. Good teachers are informed, dedicated, and passionate about the people they teach. Bad ones are there because they have a degree that they think makes them an expert, those are the ones that can't teach. Lots of teachers in my family so I may be just a bit biased, and not to brag, but they all fit into the good teachers category. Pigon holeing all into a box isn't fair to the teachers that work long hours for short pay, all the while looking after 20 to 30 of our children and trying their best to do a thankless job. If you know a good one, it makes it easier to spot a bad one.
Extremely well said!

There is some issues you bring up that have validity while many others are misconceptions. This is not the location to debate the issue but if you start a thread in off topic or P/R I will gladly discuss it.

Made a mini with a Briggs&Stratton that was a little slow off the line(centrifugal clutch) but would take my brother's tm125 in the 1/4 mile. If you could stay on, lol
