Not sure what everyone else's experience is with the backyard lifts but climbers seem to be very hard to come by these days I have been a owner climber for 30 years and it is getting hard to meet with clients and do estimates and also try to climb and get a crew started especially in the morning so I'm thinking of buying one

I've tried teupen, crawler and the one I bought was the best out of them all for tree work, and $40,000 less. No complicated computers or sensors, simple electronics and hydraulics. www.upequip.ca. I did a ton of research and rented/demo'd the one I bought ( get it in 3 weeks) for a month. We put it thru it paces and passed all my expectations. I got the fibreglass bucket instead of the standard one. Alain and Martin are very good to deal with also. They are just north of Montreal Quebec Canada.

With EAB wiping out the ash trees around my parts, climbing them sometimes isn't an option, even using cranes the tips can't hold the loads and just crumble apart. I've already got tons of work lined up for it when it comes! I know a lot on here are hesitant to these lifts but they simply are awesome!

They are going to play a huge part in the future of this industry. I would like to have one at some point. big money though, around my area at least. Although I will say there is a larger company in my area that has one and I see it sitting at there yard more often than I woulda expected. Not sure why

Thinking of the 78 crawler but not sold on it yet

its a nice lift but the one I rented had sensitive controls and the button for the dead man switch we ended up just taping because it was a pain in the nuts to gold it down while operating the other controls, and we got stuck for 20 mins 60' up because a small spruce bundle of needles got stuck in a sensor down near the bottom of the lift ! Wasn't fun at -15 up there! Lol. The extra 8' is not worth an additional 40,000 in my opinion.

Got a quote 131000 with trailer and all up grades

I take that back trailer not included

That's less then I originally got, I got a $4700 float trailer for mine, works just great. Have you even tried any out yet? Like I said I demo'd all the brands and bought the one I mentioned. I highly suggest you try before you buy. Big chunk of change to blow away if you don't like it!
Any advise on this

Take it ssssllllloooooooww. You don't want buyers remorse on a 100 plus grand purchase. Network in your area and see if any rental outfits have one for rent. Or maybe another tree outfit?

If you guys are interested I have a 2010 Hinowa 23.12/LL76 with 161 hours on it for sale. This is the identical lift to the JLG X700AJ. The reach is 76'.

Call dealer the other day first thing the salesman said , if you buy this lift I promise you will never have to climb again . Lol did he really just say that ? Yes he did ! I hung up the phone !
