Found this on craigslist tonight. 272xp. Not running but appears to have lots of compression. Very reasonably priced, previous owner thought it didn't have spark. The 28" bar will go on my 288xp, and this one will get a 24" bar.

what's the general consensus on these? I picked up a 288xp a few weeks ago and love it. Currently no 70cc saws in my collection. Next size up would be my stihl 460.

A month ago the only husky I had was a dirtbike! Hopefully more huskies are to come my way.

One of the best firewood saws made…266-272 series. Lots of parts availability for that one in case you find something wrong or missing.
24-28” recommended but will pull a 32 in a pinch.

Man I hate it when saws just fall into my truck like that. Seems to be happening more these past few weeks.

I have had my hands on several 2 Series Husqvarna saws recently (257, 262, 281), seems they would benefit from a compression release.

I’ve had that very same saw for over 20 years and have worn out dozens of chains and bars. It still starts today as it did when brand new. Have never had an issue with it!
