Just got my new to me 038MAGII, and wow I am tickled. The saw shows very little use, everything is tight, hell most of the laminates on the plastics are still on it! Best part, I picked it up in person. The seller asked me to start it and make sure I was satisfied. Saw was cold( I checked ). I asked the guy if he choked it when starting. He said not on a warm day. I flipped the switch to run and gave her a yank. VROOOOM! first pull. Turned it upside down and sideways, runs like a champ! She is going to work tomorrow, and I will post a report.

I have a 038MagII and its a joy to work with. I am sure you will like yours just as much. :rockn:

That saw is a gem I wish I could track one down for cheap too. I am working on a buddy to sell me his and buy a new one they cut great!

I agree , after using it only a few hours. I am looking for another one already.
I did a little figuring, and even if you bought a rebuildable one, say for $150.00 or $200.00, had it made new for 3 or 4 more hundred, you would have 5 or 6 bills in it. A new Ms440 is gonna be eight hundred with the tax just about anywhere. It just makes sense to me with the performance that saw puts out. If you were capable of doing the rebuild yourself, it would be much less. The trick it seems is finding someone who wants to sell one!
