I have a vintage Titan saw, one in which the bar rotates 90 degrees. Not sure of the model but I was told it may be a sportsman. It is still in fairly decent shape and I was trying to get this thing goin but she has no fire and after cleaning up the ignition, when I pulled on it the recoil spring took a crap. It broke right where it "hooks" at the end of the coil. I tried to heat the end to make it hook again but it broke after a few pulls. Does anyone have or know where I might be able to find parts or how to tell exactly what model it is? I was also told by an old timer in that an old style mercury outboard tiller motor points and condensor would work on this.
Also I am new to this forum, but have been around the woods most of my life. Any help or advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance
