Nice tree.
I tried to grow saws once but all I got were Wild Things and Mini Macs.
Yeah, I figured it was something like that. Thought there might be a lack of Magnesium in the soil as well.Your oil ratio was probably to high. Try 32:1 next time.
Yup---120SI
The springer, he's on the lookout for squirels (always)
Joe, thanks for the heads-up on rusted bars, didn't think of that. I'll set it up in the shop in front of the modine heater for awhile. This time of year it runs almost constant
Looks cool BUT...We had a dealer here a few years ago who went and cut a hemlock down and used the trunk to display his new Jonsereds. Bore cut them all in and the display was done. Then he pulled a saw out a week later and the bar and chain were rusted up good in the area that was inside the tree. Those trunks hold ALOT of moisture. Hardwoods are even worse. Think of how long cut and split oak takes to season! Dont want to see you ruin those bars. A long dead trunk would be safe.
Wow good thought. I love the idea though so maybe WD40 the bars and chains and check them frequently. Very appealing to a customer, I would have to make it work.
