Hmmm it realy doesn't look that difficult a thing to remove.
Cut near the base until through cut 1/2 way with a up cut then finish down, wait for the roll to the left when it seperates as a big limb at the top will force that to happen, then truck and chain time to pull it onto the ground.
No need to go up that tree at all and i see little or no chance for a barber poll happening with the bulk of weight hung in other trees.
Good chance for a pinch saw though so have a couple wedges handy as you cut.
You can avoid a pinch saw with a deep V cut from the top maybe 75%, then finish the last 4-5" straight through.
Might even slowly sag down, peel or snap when you have deep V cut, all good though since the snap would head straigt down.
