Being new to the forums and desperately needing people to corrupt me further, I would like to get in touch with other members here in the SW Ohio, So IN, and N KY areas. I am also interested in how to find out about local events and activities. I would even like to hear from people in the Central and Northern part of OH and IN even though they are... *cough* ..."flatlanders". :) Just kidding.

Hey, I already know urbicide lives here in Cincinnati. Maybe he's a start.

Also, to ghitch75.... my nephew Bill owns Bill's Auto Repair in downtown Bloomfield, IN. Damn fine mechanic, sprint car racer, and nephew, if you ask me. He can tell you all about his crazy Uncle Al.

Lived in Bloomington for many, many years until I moved to Cinci in 1999. Nice to meet you! I was born and raised down in Harrison Co, though.

I often tell Purdue fans that when you cross the border into Indiana, the sign says "Welcome to Indiana!" not "Welcome to Purdue" GO I.U.! lol

Thanks for responding!

Hello K.O.I. Members

Good Morning bcmktg. There are a couple of others here from Cincinnati. JeffH454 and Andyshine 77 are two that I recall seeing on line recently. I know that there are others from the area. I have to warn you that in the past I have been accused of being a bad influence on others.

hour south of cleveland....Flat farmland USA

We have an office in sharonsville (cincy) that I am at a couple times a year.

Also have been know to travel to Beach bend raceway in BG, ky. I like to meet up with new members any chance I get.

Wow! Very nice to meet you all! I live in Glen Este probably no more than a couple of miles from rustygmc(within sight of the new water tower at the corner of Glen Este-WithamsvilleRd and Clough Pike). I was out today joyfully cutting down trees at the construction site behind my house. Well, it was a beautiful day and I had to test a couple of "parts saws" and make sure the carburetor rebuild on my brother's little Echo 351V took. It ran like a Swiss watch....and had about as much power. Oh well, that is good enough for him. lol

Small world, isn't it. My woodlot is about 5 miles from Batavia. It is close to East Fork State Park. I usually go out 32 to 222 but sometimes I'll head out on 125. I know exactly where the new water tower is (across the street from the park with the old Huey on display). Did they ever finish construction on Clough? I was out on the property this afternoon. Got a pocket full of chips. It was an incredibly beautiful day, especially for November! :D

Jeezil Pete! It sure is a small world! In answer to your question, no they have NOT finished the construction on Clough and they are a month and a half overdue. It is a major pain in the keester, too, because Clough is a major surface street artery in this area.

We are definitely gonna have to get together soon and make some blue smoke and chips.

Gotta run. I work 3rd shift six nights a week over in Blue Ash, so I have to hit the road. Ya'll can catch me every night after 11:30 PM on any one of the 4 instant messengers.... see my profile.

Small world indeed. Farms I used to drive by are now subdivisions in quite a few places. Kind of sad. Big houses popping up on tiny lots. And traffic. I have my little piece of the earth were I go to gain inner peace and tranquility and to fire up a saw or two and cut some wood. Duke Energy had an outfit called ABC Tree Service doing their clearance work this past summer. Brand new trucks and chippers and not a single gringo on any of the crews I happened to see. Don't see them now. Must have gotten too cold for them. Nice meeting you Ralph.

I'm about five minutes south of you behind the firehouse on 125. :blob2:
James

Jeez, I think you are quite a bit closer than urbicide, James. Don't remember where the firehouse is you are talking about on 125, but it has to be close from your description. Look forward to meeting you sometime soon!
