Well I got off work this morning (i work nightshift), and decided to run to menards to get the last piece i needed to get my wood furnace going. Had to stop for gas and while I was there I picked up a scratch off ticket, threw it on the seat and went on my way.
Got to menards picked up what i needed and thought id better go check out the chainsaws (I needed a laugh), I went though the winter wonderland and to the chainsaw aisle. I turned around and there it was, the last one on the shelf, The Fiskars super splitting axe! Ive been looking for one in store for awhile and there it was, I looked around to see if anybody was around and then I promptly snatched it from the shelf and ran to the checkout.
Had a little conversation about it with the cashier, and then back to my car. I said to myself "well id better scratch that ticket, today must be my lucky day", and so I did.
Just got done from trying it out. You can tell im a novice, but I actually got wood split which is more than I can say with other axes that I have tried. Cant wait to get back out there and swing some more!! But for now I have to sleep and work tonight.
P.S. The scratch ticket was a DUD, Still my lucky day!!
