My lightweight 16" bar is supposedly 30% less weight than the standard 16" bar. Anyways, I climb mostly with the MS150

I got a demo husky 536 that I'm going to try out this week. Seemed nice around home. Cut down a bunch of small trees I was really sick of mowing around. I had a bigger pile of trees than I knew what to do with and actually ran out of things to cut before the battery died. See how it does in the bucket tomorrow

saw seemed to do alright today. im not overly impressed but then again i am very used to having a 200-T or a modded 201-T. id compare it to a well used 338-T husky. it really seems to chatter in bigger wood and hard wood. cut fine for most everything we did but the 12" bar was a bit more limiting. it was very nice being able to easily talk between cuts and not having to pull a cord to start. balance is actually better than i like in that its almost perfectly balanced in the hand. i found this to make for awkward insertion in the scabbard and a bit more work on certain cuts where a heavier bar would do some of the work. not a deal breaker by any means but just something i noticed. id guess the estimate of cutting time of a charged battery to be around 20-40 minutes depending how hard you work it. in bigger wood it goes faster. limb cuts it lasts for a long time
Rarely hear anyone ask for a heavier bar!

Maybe they will come in soon. My Dad's little electric Stihl has been overheating this week. If it sits in the sun for a few minutes it wont run. When he presses the battery power button the lights just flash. After about 4 or 5 minutes in the shade it will go again. He has dedicated a cool rag just for it and leaves it sitting on the battery. Not sure if that's normal but batteries will get hot. If the top handles do that it would be a deal breaker for me. It was only 95 here with terrible humidity. Not too bad for me but if I was just hanging in a tree and the saw wouldn't work my mood would diminish quickly.
Interesting. I have not had thii problem, but have not tried my battery saws in extreme heat. Was more concerned with cold weather performance.
Wonder if his manual lists any operating limits?

We have had a few days with it and I am impressed. I just have the one so I gave it to one of my top climbers, he was a little hesitant,
Anyway, I told him he could use his 201 after 8am so deal with it for 1 hour. He did, except he did not go to his 201, he loves the saw, impressed with the power, less vibration and communication ability, such an awesome change. I will probably order 9 more with 14" bars.

i got a chance to use my demo yesterday for climbing and i can easily see the attraction for that route. very nice not having to get at the rip cord in them awkward positions when hanging upside down. it is nice for communicating in either place (bucket or saddle). i seem to be getting more used to it now, shame they want it back now
