Torque specs missing

Hi,
All the older Stihl manuals (at least ones I’ve read before 2000) all have torque specs, generally found towards the start of the manual.

Flicking through newer manuals, the 462 & 500i specifically, there are no torque specs at the start middle or end of the manual.

Just tighten down firmly lol.

The manuals I have are the same ones the dealers will have.

I think that they give a torque value for each style/size fastener.

The latest technical reference guide shows the torque values for the flywheel clutch and cylinder fasteners, but I do not see a listing for the 500.

I don't remember seeing torque values lately, now that you mention it. But I never bother using them so I never thought about it.

I just found the answer…

They have pictures of the bolts and hardware at the start of each procedure, below the bolt in brackets is a torque spec…
I actually really like it like that and that they did both Nm and Ft Lbs / in lbs.
