Phillips head screws are the curse of all time Robertson are better by far the main reason the USA never went with them was Henry Ford vetoed them because they were a Canadian product.
Kash
Windsor Ontario built model T’s have Robertson acre in them btw. I doubt gord vetoed anything Canadian he had 3 failed company before he started build his early model cars if it wasn’t for a carriage works/investor here in what would become Windsor they would have never been a ford motor company early models(c’s f’s early a’s not to be confused with the model a from 28 to 31) were built here in Windsor.

Not that this will change anyone's mind, but interesting anyhow.

I have never used Robertson, but, I noticed it in my set, as well as in my Klein 10-in-1 screwdriver.
I researched it, and found the Robertson is the PERFECT tool for installing electrical switches, and outlets.

The screw on those devices are a combination, they will accept straight blade, Phillips head, or Robertson.

The Robertson is the best of the three, because of alignment, off angle, and ease of use.
TORX is left out in the rain, as far as this driving application.

Many electrical panels use'm as well.

All the electrical equipment manufactured in Canada is Robertson. It was not too many years ago the multi heads showed up.As an electrician I much prefer them to Philiips I was on a job in Wisconsin and learned to hate Philips. At times you are working in tight quarters or at arms length and the screw falls off the tip of your screw driver never to be seen again and you pray it did not fall into some thing live electrical equipment.
Camel in 2015 I was working in Windsor on the van line change at the Chrysler plant.I stayed at the Diane Motel on Tecumseh Diane was a great lady and treated me well.I enjoyed my stay in the City Of Roses and the Princess Auto was a big bonus.Between the old Skidoo and garden tractor parts plus my motel room half full of Princess auto stuff thew 97 Dodge Ram was pretty well full.
Do some research on Henry Ford he was not a real nice guy,

Ford and hiram walker built this city to what it is now. People can say what they want about fords they produced affordable automobile’s in a time where most were coach built being very expensive the auto industry would look a lot different today without ford. The dodge brothers got their start building early ford body’s off you didn’t know. I have a book called ford city(this was an actual town here at one point fords even had their own post office) goes back into the history of the area that became Windsor from the early settlers and beyond.

Plus, you can thank Ford, at least in part, for all that nasty pollution some folks create while grilling. 🤣
Ford Charcoal. 👍🍻

Hi,

I wanted to share my thoughts on these Ajax impact bits, they have been fantastic and I’ve worked them hard them for at least a year and a half, if not two and they’ve never let me down. Highly recommended for anyone working on saws and other small engines:

Where can I find some of these? I can only find them in Australia.
150TXSET6 is the part number I found.

I wasn't complaining. Had to remove and drive in at least 1000 screws. I was shocked when I had to buy the second giant box of screws.
I find a bit per box of screws is pretty standard when I'm doing decks.
Better than stripping a head before it's in and having to wrestle it back out.
Figure that's why most boxes come with a bit

Nice. The same Bondhus set is $46. Can't speak to quality of either, but for sure Bondhus' cost is partly the brand name.
I have a set of Bondhus ball tip drivers that I’ve used for years. I love them. Broke the ball tip off a few, and this thread prompted me to look up the warranty - which is lifetime, but also discovered they’re made right here in Minnesota. I’ve got an email out to them asking if I can stop by to replace my broken tools and possibly take a peek at their shop. We shall see how it plays out.
