Thanks Randy, those bars are nice and a great deal too.

I am glad you took that phone order for my friend!!!

Pete

I was serious about getting you a discount coupon for referring a friend. When your ready, send me a PM for the info... its good for 10% off your order from $1-$1000.00

What friends do for good buddies... your a good buddy to have Pete!

I really appreciate these words!

The president has called me and gave another 5% off the price... however, something I didn't calculate is shipping by truck. Normally they send the bars to a residential district for delivery by a normal sized truck. I have to break the order down by individual and repackage each order, my girls help me process them and we spend family time while doing it. Because of the large order's weight (400lbs), they are now sending it by truck and there is an additional charge for that. The refund to each of you would have been $5.00 per hundred spent, I can't do that now because of the additional charge..

I apologize for not seeing this additional cost I should have calculated for. The 5% saved us $153.05, truck shipment cost $150.

I said I would give anything back that they were able to do in lowering the price...

WERE SPLITTING $3.05.... I'll assume the largest denomination possible, pennies, nickel, dimes, and/or quarters???

Or we can all hoist a cold one tonight.. here here!

Randy,

Thank you so much for putting this together. It is great and a ton of work.

Please don't take my comments as critical to you as they are not at all. While I am ignorant when it comes to chainsaws, I am an expert in the area of procurement and something you are being told does not add up. How was shipping to you taken care of in the past with smaller orders? The reason that you move to shipping by LTL truck is that it is CHEAPER that sending more, smaller packages. Did the seller cover the shipping of smaller orders but now they are passing it on to you?

The $150 in shipping for 70 some bars seems very reasonable. How much would it have been for 15 orders of 5 bars each? Much higher, right? So there is some shipping savings somewhere. Either your bar supplier used to ship these to you at no extra charge and now they added a charge (thus basically giving you a cost increase to offset your 5% reduction), or, you were paying the shipping and then you should have already had shipping figured into the cost of the bars.

Anyway, if it is the former case, I suggest you have another chat with the president about the discount. If it is the latter, you might recheck your figures to make sure the shipping is not double counted or perhaps you missed putting the shipping into the original price all together (but you have run these group buys before so I wouldn't think this is the case - but if it is, oh well).

I am very happy to be able to buy these bars at this great price and thank you for all of the hard work for this. I think you are doing a good thing here and I can't wait to get my shiny new bars. Thanks again!

Total bars are shipped to me and have been very reasonable, but those were in smaller numbers. I paid last time because I didn't feel like you should have to pay for shipping twice. Normally for smaller orders, I add that into the overall cost by splitting the freight evenly among the buyers and sometimes hold an order for a couple days to save up the cost, I also explain that to anybody who orders from me a product from this company. For this group buy (like last time), I paid so you didn't have to, felt like $12.50 was a reasonable amount for two bars to your door and still feel that way. It came out even anyway... I could have charged $2 more in shipping, then gave it back on the discount... makes us even.

I will do my best to get you the best price and expect you to come out ahead always..I'm happy when you are happy... sounds that way to me:msp_wink:

You are too generous. Eating the shipping cost on top of all the work is too much. Thanks again.

I have to hand it to you Randy. Instead of sitting back whining that times are tough you've got off your arse and come out with some of the best proactive business I've seen on AS in my time here.
And I'm benefiting from it

Most of us don't realize how tough it is to put on a group buy in such a short time frame... Managing all the transactions (emails, PM's, money), make a million phone calls, place the orders, lose your butt on shipping, shipping materials and unpaid orders.

We all appreciate the efforts you and your family put forth! Some of us appreciate it more than others, but.. we all appreciate it!

You make new customers by reaching out and saving us money like this. You're doing a great thing.. Keep it up

Randy is an awesome Gentleman.
It just makes good business sense as well.
An extremely good reputation and Im sure lots of repeat business.
Much appreciated.
Heres one to ya Randy.
Cheers.

You were wanting to play with them all weekend weren't you?

And do what?

Build a fort of chainsaw bars?
Build a steel jenga tower?
Pose surrounded by steely goodness?

Pffft. I figure they'll get here whenever they get here. My friend's mom has a big maple blown over in the yard but I got my old worn bars that'll do for that. Won't need these until fall.
