yay or ney

i think they are pretty cool, to rent when you occasionally need one

50 foot, i think they are like 5 feet wide, they are really narrow (wheels not outrigger)

and like 3 dudes can push it on flat ground no problem...

share some experiences with tow-behind buckets

the price is right and i like them quite a bit. Rented an electirc one for quite some time. Nice quite operating. Decent speed. Battery last a good day or more. Sometiems 3 if not alot of up and down. Can get these about anywhere. Price is right too. Although a real pain to get the other riggers down sometimes since they extend a ways.

We were looking at the Genie TMZ 50 but the deal fell through. We just got a used Niftylift SD50. We need to trailer it but it's the same size as the tow behind models. Has 2 wheel drive and goes up 50'. Has a small Kubota diesel and electric also. My partner loves it. I don't like heights so i'll never know how much fun it is.

i'm not even close to wanting to buy one, but man are they worth it to rent.

at the nations rent in florida they are like 700 a week, thats like paying a worker to fly you up around and into trees...

no effort....

its definately the easy way out.

well, actually its not that bad considering we do all our work with 2 guys most the time....

but man, they are fun

if you ever get a bunch of straight up trimming jobs in open areas try to get one they are great (for lazy people)

I appreciate that. I have a job coming up that is pruning 200 pines in a large condo complex. I pruned them 4 years ago and remember the thought of , "Man, I shoulda rented a spider."

Thank you for the reminder that it's not necessary for me to suffer, pole pruning endless pines from the ground over a mile of walking. So much more fun to fly. And our work should be fun, I mean, if there's a choice about it.
