A guy came wandering onto my job site last week, and kindly pointed out that my entire fleet of saws is getting much too old. But, he was there to help....
There in the back of his truck, under the boxes of girl scout cookies and Chinese generators (it was a "freight liquidation deal") was this super cool saw that was in as-new condition. In fact, once I got a glimpse of the colour scheme I was in love. I didn't even need to hear it run, since it was completely covered (even the bar!) with those super awesome West Coast Chopper style flames. Heck, once we were done horse tradin' he even agreed to throw in a slightly damaged case of Thin Mints! Then came the most awesome part.....he told me that Jesse James is a personal friend of his and he could have my new saw autographed for a nominal fee (payable only by Western Union money transfer). Well, I hustled on down to the local Mexican grocery and put that cash directly into the West Coast Choppers corporate account.
So, this guy not only helped me out by taking in all my old saws in trade, but he promised to pay for the shipping on my new XM-40 once he got Jesse to put his John Hancock on it! So all I had to do was wire that 200 bucks for the autograph, help him load up my saws, and he took care of the rest.
I did get some cool pics so you guys could check out my new saw:View attachment 262468View attachment 262469
You are obviouslt being rather poetic here, it is a pretty interesting saw. Is the bar oil and the gas tank right next to one another b/c that is so very convenient. Don't screw that one up.
